Mark A Taylor, OD Speaks to the Kaysville Rotary

The Kaysville Rotary is a proud contributor towards helping low income children receive eye exams and eyeglasses. This week we had a report from a couple of the people that make this possible.

We had the privilege of hearing from Mark A Taylor, OD, as well as Davis School District Nurse Kathy Pozzuoli RN.

Kathy shed some light on how the schools identify students who are in need of seeing an optometrist. After that they then work with the students and their families to identify is there is a need for financial assistance. There are many families throughout the school district who would need to decide between paying for essentials or getting their child an eye exam and eye glasses. Kaysville is no exception to this, and the Kaysville Rotary is proud to be part of the solution.

Funds are donated by the Kaysville Rotary, each year to this program to the Davis Education Foundation, to make sure that no Kaysville student is left without the necessary eye exam and eye glasses.

Dr Mark A Taylor OD, gives deeply discounted eye exams as well a pair of deeply discounted eye glasses to the student. This contribution of his time and discount of his fees is what makes the Kaysville Rotary club proud to call him a friend to our club. Dr Mark Taylor is living the spirit of Rotary by putting "Service Above Self", and we wish to recognize him for this.

Without the necessary eye exams and eye glasses these students are at high risk. Some students have been misdiagnosed as being special needs, when all that was needed was a fix to their vision problem.

The Kaysville Rotary Club would ask all Kaysville residents to consider giving your eye care business to Dr Mark Taylor, and to tell your friends and neighbors to do the same, as he has proven to be someone who cares about our community.
